For our very first wedding anniversary on November 7th, Cory planned a hot air balloon ride for us. We were so excited to finally do this, as we see them flying near our house almost every afternoon. Sunday afternoon we met up with the group, crammed into a van with a ton of other people, and went to the launch location. They started setting up, but quickly stopped as clouds began to roll in. After some staring at the sky and hushed discussions among the pilots, they decided to cancel the trip due to visibility and safety concerns. Bummer!
So, a week later we gave it another try. On November 14th (the anniversary of our Wisconsin reception), we gave it another go and it was a success! We couldn't have asked for a better day...not a cloud in the sky, no wind, sun shining bright. It was beautiful! And it was so fun knowing we had the baby along with us to help celebrate one year together.
